Achensee Long-Distance Swim Event

On 5 July 2026, Lake Achensee will once again host the Achensee Long-Distance Swim. The event offers a wide range of distances from 250 metres to 9 kilometres, making it suitable for beginners as well as experienced open water swimmers. Different categories allow participants to compete according to their ability.

Distances include 9km, 5km, 2.5km and 500 metres. In addition, there is a 250-metre near-shore race for children and young people. The 500-metre race is part of the arena Alpen Open Water Children and Youth Cup and is open to participants born between 2011 and 2015 as well as 2016 to 2018.

The Achensee Long Distance Swim is part of the arena Alpen Open Water Cup. The 9-kilometre swim across Lake Achensee is the longest scored distance in the entire cup series. Swimmers compete in clear water with an alpine backdrop, offering challenging conditions for open water swimming.
