The two-day Achensee avalanche skills training courses take place on 16, 23 and 28 January 2027 and are aimed at ski tourers wishing to improve their safety in alpine terrain. Certified Mountain and ski guides teach the correct use of avalanche transceivers, probes and shovels, as well as how to assess route, terrain and personal fitness. The programme also covers behaviour in case of avalanche risk, risk management and decision-making strategies. The goal is a conscious, safe and tactful mountain experience – moving away from idealised images towards responsible tour planning.
