Gasthof-Pension Rose

Our inn is located in a central, sunny and easily accessible location in the flower village of Virgen in the Virgen Valley - one of the most beautiful valleys in East Tyrol at the entrance to the Hohe Tauern National Park and at the foot of the mighty glacier areas of the Großvenediger.

Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner, is not far from the Gasthof Rose.

In summer, the Virgen Valley offers countless opportunities for hiking. You can start directly at the Pension Rose in Virgen and hike to one of the numerous peaks or take a tour to the alpine pastures and mountain huts of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Venediger Höhenweg, a 70 km long hiking trail in the Hohe Tauern, can also be reached from Virgen.

Our rooms
20 comfortable double rooms facing south, east or west, some of which can be used as single or shared rooms, offer wonderful views of the mountains of Virgen. In the immediate vicinity of the Gasthof Pension Rose we can also provide holiday apartments and apartments.

After a long day in the mountains of East Tyrol, dinner is already waiting for you at Gasthof Rose. After a good glass of wine or a cool beer, you can relax in our cozy rooms. The next morning you are fit and rested to tackle the next mountain tour.
