At our Chrisanten Thaya alpine hut, you’ll experience a picture-perfect mountain summer – or fulfil your very own winter dream.

Surrounded by imposing peaks, you’ll enjoy peace and quiet, unspoilt nature and the true alpine way of life.

The rustic self-catering hut for up to 8 people is situated above the Gaislachalm mountain settlement, around 7 km from the centre of Sölden. Its special location offers you a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding mountains – a retreat for anyone seeking authenticity.

The Chrisanten Thaya alpine hut in Gaislach was built decades ago with a great deal of manual labour and once served as a summer retreat during the mountain haymaking season. In recent years, it has been carefully renovated with an eye for detail – and is now a special haven of well-being for anyone who appreciates authenticity.

Right in the heart of the Sölden skiing and hiking area – despite its idyllic seclusion, the adventure is right on your doorstep: 147 kilometres of slopes across the entire Sölden ski area – ski-in, ski-out – as well as around 300 km of marked hiking trails literally stretch out at your feet.

You can start your day’s skiing carefree right from the chalet and return via the Heidebahn (run 2) – a real insider’s tip. So, at the end of the day, every turn brings you straight back to the Chrisanten Thaya.

On the spacious covered sun terrace, the sky seems close enough to touch.

Let the sun smile on your face over your morning coffee or enjoy the last rays of the day in a deckchair. When peace and quiet slowly descends outside, make yourself comfortable indoors by the rustic tiled stove – and feel the warmth, cosiness and genuine mountain hut atmosphere.

With the 25/26 winter season, the next generation is taking over the running of our Thaya. What Imelda and Willi have built up and lived through over the years with so much love, care and a sense of responsibility is now being carried on by their daughter Ramona together with her family.

In keeping with our usual hospitality, we remain personally available to assist with your needs and look forward to sharing our very own favourite spot with you – honestly, down-to-earth and with a deep love for the mountains.
