Haymon Via Ferrata
This via ferrata, named after the giant Haymon, offers a spectacular route through the north face of the Reither Spitze and ends right at its summit. Short, challenging wall sections alternate with impressive traverses across steep gorges and narrow ridges, before you cross the rope bridge and head up the steep, exposed summit wall, emerging right at the summit cross.
Hikers can look forward to a via ferrata that’s guaranteed to be varied and offers moderate difficulty. Nevertheless, due to its exposed nature, the route should not be underestimated!
The best way to start is from the Seefelder Joch station or the Härmelekopfbahn mountain station, using the existing trail network to reach the Reither Kar and following the signs (approx. 45 minutes)
From the summit of the Reither Spitze, you can either return directly to the Härmelekopfbahn via the rope-secured northwest ridge or head south to the nearby, staffed Nördlinger Hut and from there back to the mountain station.
