The millstone trail shows how millstones were fashioned from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The extraction of this particular rock found on the site was a real human exploit. Tens of thousands of millstones were extracted from these quarries and used to equip the region's mills. Each millstone was worth the price of a house, and the quarry masters fought to retain their right to exploit it. The story is told at 11 interpretive stations along the 1 km trail. A "lunar" landscape in the middle of the garrigue, with 360° views of the Montagne Noire, the Minervois and the Pyrenees.
