Liebenfels

The three municipalities of Pulst, Hardegg and Liemberg were merged in 1958 to form one municipality with the name "Liebenfels". The municipality of Sörg was added 15 years later. The "new" town of Liebenfels (previously: Feistritz im Glantal) thus became the centre of a municipal area that today covers almost 60 km².

The market town of Liebenfels lies in the heart of Carinthia - in the beautiful Glantal valley.

From the main town of Liebenfels you can reach the A2 south motorway and the ducal town of St. Veit an der Glan in 10 minutes, in 15 minutes you are directly in Klagenfurt, after a 20-minute drive you are in Feldkirchen and in 40 minutes you can reach Villach.

The quiet recreational areas of the market town are situated in a climate-favoured, fog-free mid-mountain location (500 m to 1338 m above sea level) on the southern slope of the Wimitz mountains.

The nearby lakes of the Klagenfurt basin are within easy reach (Wörthersee, Ossiacher See, Längsee, Hörzendorfer See, Kraiger See, St. Urbaner See). There is also a well-maintained indoor and outdoor swimming pool in St. Veit/Glan.

On the "Adventure Water Trail" you can experience nature, tradition and culture and unwind.
