Then we recommend the Afritzer See - a picturesque lake at 750 metres above sea level, nestled in the gentle peaks of the Nockberge mountains like a jewel in a casket. And don't worry about blue lips! The crystal-clear water warms up to 25 degrees in summer. Alpine wildlife park, mushroom and doll museum, small animal zoo: the area around Lake Afritz is a great and inexpensive family paradise!

If you want to take a leisurely hike by the lake, we recommend the Slow Trail Afritzer See. Sporty spirits can go surfing (even ice surfing in winter!); fishermen also get their money's worth! Pike, carp, perch, tench, chub, eel, catfish, trout, vendace and various whitefish as well as char and bream can be caught in the clear waters.

There are two public lidos for water rats and bathing beauties.

The motorboat ban on Lake Afritz ensures that you can actually relax here in peace and quiet! Sports and hobby fishermen have direct access to the lake.
