Kalafornian pyöräilyreitti (Kalafornia cycling route)

The Kirjurinluoto parking area stays behind as beautiful field landscapes surround the person who has set out for the Kalafornia cycling route. The one-way length of the cycling route is 4 kilometers, so cycling round trip makes the total 8 kilometers. The light blue signposts of the route ultimately guide the cyclist to the Kalafornia golf course, where you can follow the events at the golf course and enjoy, for example, lunch according to the restaurant’s opening hours.

The route runs on well-maintained gravel roads, which are pleasant and easy to cycle on since you do not have to dodge roots or rocks. Along the peaceful Hanhiluodontie, you can admire various summer residences in the Huvilajuova area, a chain of waterfront villas and their yards. The first summer residences were built in the area already in the early 1900s. The scents of different plants waft from the gardens to the cyclist’s nose, and the sounds of yard work and children’s laughter can be heard. Behind the cottages flows the Kokemäenjoki, which can also be admired along the route.
