From the Oberhofalm, a steep serpentine path leads through spruce forest to the Rinderfeld, a beautiful alpine pasture. At the Rinderfeld, you almost always continue at the same elevation heading towards Sulzenschneid, crossing the source of the Warm Mandling. Shortly before Sulzenschneid, the trail leads steeply uphill again through dwarf pines. From the summit cross, there is a magnificent panoramic view of Bischofsmütze, Hochkesselkopf, Torstein, Rötelstein, and Hochkönig. Afterwards, you descend via the Sulzenhals to the Sulzenalmen (Wallehen- and Krahlehenhütte are managed). From the Sulzenalmen, it takes about 1 hour to return to Oberhofalm.
