Hamlets of Grangia and Drubiaglio, the Avigliana beyond Dora

Departure from Avigliana train station, pass through the underpass and continue on Corso Torino (eastbound) to the intersection with Via dei Testa. Continue keeping Avigliana shopping center on your right and proceed to Dora park, the first green area of the hike. After crossing the two pedestrian bridges over the river, continue on a dirt cycle-pedestrian road, partly alongside the highway, until reaching the Messa stream. Crossing the bridge, cross the stream to arrive at Via Ordine Mauriziano, in the Drubiaglio hamlet. Then enter the heart of the hamlet, encountering the Church of Sant'Anna, and continue on Via Don Cravotto and Via Drubiaglio up to the roundabout with Via delle Industrie. Then return to a green area, encountering among the fields the ancient "di Dondi" mill, the Vangeirone canal, and the Morsino stream. With a short detour from the route, you can admire the Tre Pais pond. Returning to the path, amid meadows and woods, the Messa stream is crossed again and continue on Via della Michela, in the Grangia hamlet. Enter the heart of the hamlet along Via Grangia and Via Almese, at the roundabout continue for a few meters on Via Moncenisio then take Via Musinè. Heading towards Avigliana city, cross the Dora on the homonymous bridge and continue straight until returning to Corso Torino and Avigliana station, the end point of the hike.
Departure from the train station - Corso Torino - Via dei Testa - Dora park up to the cycle-pedestrian path of the Via Francigena - after crossing the Messa stream take Via Ordine Mauriziano - Via Don Cravotto - Via Drubiaglio - at the roundabout with Via delle Industrie enter the green area crossing the Vangeirone canal and the Morsino stream, toward the Tre Pais pond - cross the Messa stream - Via della Michela - Via Grangia - Via Almese - cross Via Moncenisio - Via Musinè - Via Almese - Dora bridge - Corso Dora - cross Corso Europa and stay on Corso Dora - Corso Torino - arrival at the train station
Comfortable shoes and water are recommended
On some busy road sections, especially when crossing Corso Europa and Via Moncenisio, be cautious of vehicle traffic.
By train, via the Torino PN - Bardonecchia or Torino PN - Susa railway line, stop at Avigliana.
By car from Turin, follow the signs for the Tangenziale Nord towards Trafori - Frejus. Take the A32 motorway towards Bardonecchia and exit at Avigliana centro, continue towards the city center
