Grande Traversata del Biellese: stage 8 Zumaglia - Cerreto Castello

From the entrance to the Brich di Zumaglia park you go up along a cobbled road to Cascina Al. Here you take the beautiful little road that descends on the opposite side, to exit the park in the hamlet of Masserano. An asphalt road descends towards Ronco Biellese, and once in the main square of the village, you turn right towards Biella. At the first crossroads, take via Battisti, then via Valgrande, which leads through woods and meadows to a motocross field, where the terrain becomes a dirt track. Continue as far as the second crossroads, where you turn left, entering the woods, until you arrive in front of the gate of the Tenuta Cascinetto and take the path that skirts the property. An old municipal road continues to the valley floor, where you come to an uphill cart track that ends on an asphalt road. Skirt the Castle of Valdengo, continuing downhill until you reach the Quargnasca stream; skirt it along a cart road before climbing back up on a path that ends on an asphalt road. Once near Quaregna, the itinerary continues towards Cerreto Castello, where the route ends on the Biella-Cossato provincial road.
