On foot, by mountain bike, or on horseback, the Hérault Valley offers an exceptional setting for outdoor hiking. For your safety, the respect of the environment, the territory and its uses, we offer you ten tips for smart hiking:
-Never leave without water, supplies, a first aid kit and repair tools.
-Mountain bikers and horse riders, wearing a helmet is highly recommended.
-For others, a hat will be welcome.
-Avoid going alone. If you go alone, inform your entourage of your route.
-Choose a circuit adapted to your skill level and respect the direction of the routes.
-Slow down and be courteous when you meet hikers or hunters.
-If you come across a hunting zone, check with the first posted hunter: a detour route may be recommended for your safety.
-Respect private property and cultivated areas.
-Think of the herds: close the gates after passing through.
