from the parish church of Mendatica (783 m) descend for 200-300 metres along the provincial road, then take a mule-track to the right which leads to the chapel of Santa Margherita (788 m). Carry on walking on the mule-track which goes through the left side of the valley between scattered trees. The waterfalls are in front of us but they are almost completely hidden behind the trees. After a km you start walking slightly uphill in the wood which becomes increasingly denser. At 882 m above the sea level the mule-track crosses Rio Grupin, a tributary of the Arroscia Stream, by a stone bridge. Walking uphill between the trees you arrive at Passu Luppa pass, signed by a signpost. A rather difficult footpath on the left leads at the bottom the waterfalls, mainly hidden behind the vegetation. Go back to the main mule-track and walk uphill as far as Passu Serena pass. From here, by a short deviation you reach the bottom of the most spectacular waterfall, c. 30 metres high.
