To the Šeruga farm

From the Otočec Sports and Recreation Center we turn towards Otočec Castle, at the intersection with the local road by the Krka River we turn right towards Novo mesto and continue on the local road above the Krka River. We reach the village of Otočec passing the cemetery, continue to the Šempeter pub, where we make a sharp left towards Gumberk and descend to the Krka River, which we cross via a wooden bridge. After a small climb, we turn right at the wayside cross and follow a farm path along the Struška brook to reach the Šeruga tourist farm

After visiting the farms, we return towards Otočec:

a) by school road right through Sela past the Medle farm and through Dolenja Vas,

b) on foot from the Šerugas to the hamlet of Gumberk and along the path almost to the bridge over the Krka River. To avoid the busy road, 50 meters before the bridge we turn onto a forest path that leads us along the right bank of the Krka River to the clearing near Otočec Castle.
