A peaceful retreat by a mountain lake and the simple joy of walking
On the Kleine Salve, peace and nature take centre stage. Just a few minutes from the mountain station lies a small, idyllic mountain lake at 1,565 metres, which is regarded as a special retreat.
The ascent is a comfortable ride on the 10-person gondola lift from Itter, taking you directly to the summit of the Kleine Salve. At the top, a virtually 360° panoramic view opens up over the Kitzbühel Alps, the Hohe Salve and the Wilder Kaiser.
Down the hiking trail lie the mountain huts Kraftalm and Rigi Alm, which combine regional delicacies with mountain air. From here, a hike to the summit of the Hohe Salve is also possible.
