Cross-country skiing fans are well catered for, with eight perfectly groomed trails and illuminated practice tracks for beginners and children. The area offers 90 kilometers of classic trails and 55 kilometers of skating tracks through a breathtaking winter landscape.

Romantic winter hiking paths provide a peaceful escape from daily life, and the Danube also offers scenic routes to enjoy nature. For relaxation, the wellness area of the year-round elypso bath invites you to unwind — not without reason it has been awarded “best municipal swimming pool.”

Icy Fun & Traditional Christmas Market

“Hit the ice” is the motto every Friday and on the first Saturday of the month in winter. At the popular disco skating events, enthusiastic skaters glide and dance across the 1,800-square-meter ice rink at the Deggendorf ice stadium under changing themes.
