Hornberg-Shooting-Route

Our little discovery tour begins at the Evangelical Church. From here, keep your eyes open! Because if you look closely, you will discover the small cannon marks on the sidewalk – they show us the way, step by step, up to Hornberg Castle Hill.

From the Evangelical Church, the path leads us through the lovingly maintained rectory garden to the town fountain in the main street, where the lively bustle of the town awaits us.

We stroll along the main street, dip into Werderstraße, and shortly after turn right into Schlossstraße. With every step, we come closer to the historic heart of Hornberg.

Passing the atmospheric open-air stage and the romantic castle pond, the path leads uphill. Once at the top, not only a touch of history awaits us but also a wide view over the valley and the roofs of the town – a perfect moment to take a breath and admire.

From the south: Before the tunnel, turn right to Hornberg. Follow Werder and Hauptstraße to the town hall, then turn right. Then follow Bahnhofstraße for about 200 m to the starting point at the Evangelical Church.

From the north: Before the tunnel, turn left to Hornberg. In the town center, turn left at the town hall. Follow Bahnhofstraße for about 200 m to the starting point at the Evangelical Church.

There are some two-hour parking spaces at the Evangelical Church.

A free tourist parking lot is located a 5-minute walk away at the Hornberg Viaduct.
