A warm welcome to the Central holiday flat – your cosy temporary home right in the centre of Bad Hofgastein!

Our ground-floor, non-smoking flat combines a particularly central location with an alpine atmosphere and comfortably accommodates up to four people.

It is ideal for families with children as well as for two couples who are friends and wish to explore the Gastein Valley together.

The holiday flat has two separate bedrooms, each equipped with a comfortable box-spring bed for two people and its own television. This means that even when occupied by four people, all guests enjoy plenty of privacy and their own personal retreat.

The centrepiece of the flat is the cosy kitchen-diner. Here you’ll find a kitchen unit, a dining table for shared meals, as well as a sofa and a TV.
From the kitchen-diner, you have direct access to the small terrace with seating – ideal for a leisurely morning coffee or for winding down after an eventful day’s holiday.

The bathroom is fitted with a shower and washbasin.
A separate toilet with its own small washbasin provides extra convenience, particularly when there are several guests.

All rooms are separate from one another and accessible from the central hallway. Another advantage is the holiday flat’s private entrance. You enter the flat directly via a hallway with a coat rack, from which all the rooms are accessible.

Plenty of wood, natural materials and cosy Alpine décor give the holiday flat its warm character.

Bed linen, towels and bathrobes are included for our guests, so you can start your holiday feeling relaxed.

The location is particularly convenient: the holiday flat is situated right in the centre of Bad Hofgastein. Shops and numerous amenities for everyday needs are within easy walking distance. The city bus stop – or ski bus stop in winter – is only about 20 metres away. You can therefore easily leave your car parked for most of your holiday.

A particular highlight for our guests in summer is the included use of the Gastein mountain railways throughout your stay – including on the day of arrival or departure (e.g. for a 4-night stay, you can use them on all 4 days). This makes the Central holiday flat the ideal base from which to explore the mountains of the entire Gastein Valley.

Bad Hofgastein – A holiday amidst mountains, nature and thermal waters

The Gastein Valley combines stunning mountain scenery with a wide range of sporting and leisure activities, as well as the renowned Gastein thermal culture. The Alpentherme Gastein defines Bad Hofgastein as a spa and holiday resort and offers the perfect complement to an active day in the mountains.

Thanks to the holiday flat’s central location, many destinations can be reached on foot or by public transport. The bus and ski bus stop, just around 20 metres away, makes the holiday flat a particularly convenient base for exploring the whole valley.

Summer in Bad Hofgastein – Experience the mountains, hiking and nature
In summer, the Gastein Valley transforms into a landscape of green alpine pastures, mountain lakes and impressive peaks. From leisurely strolls and family hikes to more challenging mountain tours, the region offers a wide range of opportunities to explore the Gastein mountains on foot. Mountain bikers and cyclists will also find plenty of opportunities for active holidays.

Straight from Bad Hofgastein, the Schlossalmbahn cable car takes guests comfortably up into the mountains. At the top, you’ll find circular walking trails, the Schlossalmsee lake and via ferrata routes, amongst other attractions.
The other mountains in the Gastein Valley also offer a variety of excursion destinations. Numerous alpine pastures and huts with catering facilities invite you to stop for a bite to eat whilst out hiking. An alpine breakfast, regional specialities or a culinary alpine walk combine exercise with culinary delights. For families, adventure trails, treasure hunts and other activities provide plenty of variety.

A particular bonus for our guests: trips up the mountains on the participating cable cars in the Gastein Valley are included during your stay – except on the day of arrival and departure. This allows you to explore different mountains and plan your holiday anew every day.

After a hike or cycle ride, a relaxing visit to the Alpentherme Gastein is just the thing. This makes it particularly easy to combine an active holiday with relaxation in Bad Hofgastein.

Winter in Bad Hofgastein – skiing fun and snow-covered mountains
In winter, the Central holiday flat is situated right in the heart of a diverse winter sports region.

The Gastein Valley currently offers three ski areas with a total of around 180 kilometres of slopes and altitudes of up to 2,650 metres. These include the Dorfgastein-Großarltal ski area, the Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel ski area and the high-alpine Sportgastein. From beginners and families to keen skiers, there are runs of varying levels of difficulty.

More than 40 kilometres of groomed cross-country trails wind through the valley, including the Kurpark trail in Bad Hofgastein.
Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can explore the snow-covered landscape on a winter hike or snowshoe walk. The region’s diverse winter activities also include ski touring, freeriding, tobogganing and ice skating.

And after a cold winter’s day, one of Bad Hofgastein’s special features awaits: warm thermal water. A visit to the Alpentherme Gastein offers a soothing contrast to winter sports and makes the combination of mountains and thermal baths a special feature of a holiday in Bad Hofgastein.
