Naturbadesee Wolfgangsee

With a surface area of 12.4 km² and a depth of up to 114 metres, as well as its pleasant temperatures and excellent water quality, Lake Wolfgang is one of the most beautiful and attractive lakes in the Salzkammergut region and indeed throughout Austria.

With its abundance of fish and its long-standing tradition of boat trips – Lake Wolfgang ranks right at the top of the list.
Swimming in the waves, riding the swells at breakneck speed – whether on a tube or water-skiing – on the sun deck of the excursion boats, in a sailing boat or on a surfboard. For water sports enthusiasts, every wish is fulfilled and no swimming trunks stay dry!
There are many public outdoor swimming pools around Lake Wolfgang available to visitors.
Thanks to its exceptional water quality, Lake Wolfgang has been a reference water body for the entire EU since 2004.
