Winter walk around Kufstein

Starting in the centre of Kufstein, at the Marienbrunnen, you first go east to the outskirts of the town following the signs to the hiking trails Stadtberg. Just before the hill with Andreas Hofer monument, a small path branches off to the left, which you follow along the cemetery. This path becomes a road and you follow it slightly uphill through the pretty housing estate until you reach the parking lot of the Kaiserlift after a right turn. Cross the car park (or stop at the lift station restaurant) and reach the edge of the forest, where you follow the path along the forest on the right. With a steady view of the Kufstein Fortress, passing the List Monument at the bottom, you reach the Andreas Hofer Monument at the back. From there, keep left to the Motorikpark Kufstein and follow the signs to Schwoich. But it would be too far to get there, so turn sharp right at the end of a wooden fence and stroll over the fence on snow-covered fields after a step. Now follow this well-trodden path back to the settlement and turn left in Mitterndorfer Str. towards the Inn. You can comfortably walk along the green river back to the city centre.
