The Erlebnismeile stretches from the Gaislachkoglbahn to the Freizeit Arena, along the Ötztaler Ache, exactly one mile. Along this route, various stations have been created for the five themes ALMZEIT, Nature Park, BIKE REPUBLIC, Sölden in Winter, and James Bond.

Almzeit
The ALMZEIT theme trail offers great adventures for children and little breaks for parents. It shows how diverse Sölden’s mountains, trails, and huts are. Whether climbing and scrambling, walking or strolling, sunbathing or playing, ALMZEIT offers something for everyone.
Information Point Habitat Windachtal
Directly in Sölden along the "Erlebnismeile" at the water playground in Windau (confluence of Windache) the information point "Habitat Windachtal" draws attention with its striking architecture. Like the nature park information points in Niederthai and Gries, the architecture of the information carrier reflects the topography of the landscape. In Sölden specifically, the landscape of the Windachtal.
Through info panels and a detailed realistic bronze relief, visitors have the chance to learn about the NATURPARK ÖTZTAL and the Windachtal with its special natural and cultural themes. Interactive panel elements, a listening station, and the possibility to “listen” to stories by scanning QR codes also spark the interest of children and youths.
Bike Republic
A republic where all bikers feel at home: touring bikers on the many routes, flow followers on our surfy lines, enduro riders letting loose on countless trails. Here the shaped trails for beginners and experts run alongside natural trails - all flanked by excellent places to stop. A republic to feel good and have fun!
Sölden in Winter

James Bond
Sölden and James Bond – it was love at first sight. Director and Oscar winner Sam Mendes searched for fascinating and captivating filming locations in the Alps for "Spectre" and promptly fell in love with the winter sports metropolis. Sölden is the setting for that scene which the production team called the heart of the film. See for yourself.
From the Freizeit Arena, you walk to the Parkhotel, from where you can already see the first station of the Erlebnismeile - Almzeit theme trail. Then you continue along this path, passing the new Sölden social center, ascending steeply to the BIKE REPUBLIC station. From there, it goes back down to the Windau district, where you continue along the gravel path directly beside the Ötztaler Ache. You follow this path until it ends at a wooden bridge, which takes you across the Ötztaler Ache to the valley station of the Gaislachkoglbahn.

Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Taking a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without the possibility of stopping to eat, is necessary.

Sölden is located in the west of Austria in the state of TIROL, in a southern side valley of the Inn valley - the ÖTZTAL. For your car journey, plan the optimal travel route from your home location with the route planner online at once: https://www.google.at/maps
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL train station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly with public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination! There is also a barrier-free alternative to this path.
Simply follow the route description up to the new social center and there cross the bridge to the other side of the Ötztaler Ache. Continue along this path until you come to the car bridge, which you cross. At the end of this bridge, you can follow the gravel path to the right along the Ötztaler Ache and rejoin the regular Erlebnismeile route.
