Thüringerberg is situated at 878 m above sea level on the sunny southern slope of the Walser ridge, right at the entrance to the Großes Walsertal, on an elevation 300 m above the Walgau.
It is one of the most beautiful mountain villages in Vorarlberg and offers a unique view of the Vorarlberg mountains from the Schadonasattel over Rote Wand, Hohen Frassen, Litzner in the Silvretta, Zimba, Schesaplana, Drei Schwestern in the Rätikon.
The village center is the starting point for hikes to the Blumenegg ruins, to the ponds, to the Alpila and Gampelin Alps or for mountain tours, e.g. to the Hüttenkopf or the Hochgerach.
