Kallon reitti in Yyteri

The route starts from the Yyteri Golf parking lot along Karhuluodontie towards Herrainpäivät. After a short while, the route turns right towards the sandy beach section and the official dog beach. The route is marked with signs so you know where to turn. Just before reaching the dog beach section, the Levonoja stream is crossed, which sometimes forms a water obstacle on the route. At these times, you can bypass it dry-footed via the footbridge, which can be found by following the edge of the ditch for a short distance.

From the dog beach, the route continues along the cycling path next to Merisatamantie towards Mäntyluoto. The route turns left onto Satamakatu, from where it then turns left onto Uparonkatu. Uparonkatu takes you around Uniluoto.

Along the route, there is a small marina, an old fire pier offering a beautiful sea view, as well as Meripuisto park, which also leads to a rocky beach. After Meripuisto, the route continues onto Meri- and Kallonkatu, from where it turns left. The path runs along the Uniluoto swimming beach to Kallontie, which continues for 400m. The route then turns left, makes a small loop in the Kallo pine forest, and continues towards the Kallo lighthouse, which is the route's endpoint.

Route markings: orange Kallo route signs, a Y symbol on an orange background, and orange-red paint markings in the Kallo forest area. Note! When traveling from Kallo towards Yyteri Golf, the signs read Yyteri route.

It is advisable to bring weather-appropriate clothing, good outdoor shoes, snacks, and drinks. Binoculars are also a good addition for birdwatching in nature.

There is no public transport to the route. However, you can explore buses serving the nearby area at Schedules and routes - Pori Public Transport

There is plenty of free parking for cars at the Yyteri Golf parking area. 

Note that this is a one-way route, so the total distance is double.

Camping and open fires are prohibited on the Kallo peninsula. Respect birds' nesting peace. Cycling is not allowed on this route. Dogs may run free only at the dog beach; elsewhere on the route, they must be kept on a leash by their walkers.

The rocky shores of Kallo are the best place in Pori to photograph sunsets and offer a stunning backdrop for portraits.
