Abtenau - Postalm: Alpine hike with summit experience

At the Lienbachhof (H), leave the fenced parking area (P) via the alpine path in the direction of Rosserhütte (hut) (circular route 2). At the gravelled forest road, turn left and come to the Innerlienbachalmen. From there, turn right in the direction of the Labenberg and Pitscherberg alpine pastures. The first summit experience is here on the Labenberg (1642m). Back down from the mountain, follow the circular route 2 in the direction of car park 3, from where you return to the Wiesleralmen. The second summit experience is the Wieslerhorn (1603m), from where you have a wonderful view of the Salzkammergut. You reach the third summit cross on the Thorhöhe. To do so, follow the signposted circular trail 3 at the Wiesleralmen in the direction of the Thoralm. From there you come to the Thorhöhe and subsequently back to car park 3. Then follow the last stretch of circular trail 2 to the Lienbachhof car park.

Suitable hiking clothing, hiking boots, good basic condition

Via the Postalm-Panoramastraße (toll road) to car park 1.

There is a post bus to the beautiful "Postalm" alpine pasture area every Tuesday and Thursday (in all weathers) at 10.10 am during the summer months.Return journey at 4.13 pm and arrival in Abtenau at 4.30 pm. Total price with guest card: € 5.50.
