The castle in Reichenau is at least as old as the place name itself. The castle was built around 1190, and about 60 years later, the name “Reichenau” was mentioned in a document for the first time. The castle and all its outbuildings are located in the oldest part of Reichenau. Today, the castle is a lively cultural and event center that regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts, readings, and cultural events.
