From the valley station of the Dachstein cable car, a 30-minute walk takes you to the Austriahütte.
Stations of the exhibition
The museum in the Austriahütte becomes the Dachstein Museum! It presents itself with a new permanent exhibition. The new exhibition focuses on the diverse alpine relationships to the Dachstein and the region.
In addition to presenting the history of the joint development of the Dachstein by the region and the Alpine Club, the new exhibition puts well-known mountaineering themes in a new, contemporary light - and provides a possible outlook on the present and future of mountaineering life at the foot of the Dachstein.
The Dachstein Museum is located in the rooms of the Austriahütte and is open to you every day when the hut is open!
