Konttaisen kuhaus 2 km Winter Trail, Valtavaara-Pyhävaara Nature Reserve

Konttaisen Kuhaus trail is part of the Karhunkierros Trail. The starting point is from the Konttainen parking lot, where the path starts towards the top of Konttainen. The path is not maintained in winter, so be prepared for a snowy path. The path leads snowshoers among snow covered trees to stunning landscapes on the top of the hill. 

Trail is marked with wooden poles with green ribbons and yellow reflectors. 

This is a circle trail but please notice that Karhunkierros trail continues forward from the top. Follow the signs and trailmarks. If you want, you can lengthen your hike along Karhunkierros Trail towards Oulanka National Park (follow the path forward) or to Ruka Ski Resort (follow the path back to the direction of the parking area), but please note that that trail is not roundtrip.
