Flat route, with long stretches of compacted dirt road, dedicated to exploring the Po river area. The first part develops in Valentino Park, one of the largest green areas in the city of Turin, which includes historical marvels such as the Valentino Castle, the Medieval Village and Fortress, and the historic rowing clubs. Still in the urban area, on the border with Moncalieri, the equipped area of Le Vallere is crossed, at the confluence of the Po and Sangone rivers, with its eighteenth-century farmhouse. After crossing 2 roundabouts facilitated by a bike lane, the route continues along a derivation canal next to the Po to La Loggia and then on rural roads reaching the outskirts of Vinovo. With 5 km on a provincial road you reach Carignano, interesting for its Cathedral and some Baroque-style churches, as well as for its history. After leaving Carignano, the route follows a narrow strip of land crossing the Po Morto Oasis, a wetland paradise for amphibians and many other animal species. Continuing south, on compacted dirt roads, in an area with remains of active and abandoned sand quarries, you reach the Special Nature Reserve of the Lanca di San Michele, another river area of great naturalistic and faunistic interest. A secondary road, which joins a cycle path, leads to Carmagnola, today's destination, a historically significant town, home to the Naval Civic Museum; every year the National Pepper Fair takes place here, a gastronomic event of great appeal for the Food District of Chieri and Carmagnola.
