"Necki" lives in Mogelsberg and likes to play most in Steinwäldli. The "Petri" from St.Peterzell loves swimming in the Necker. The Hemberg local "Hucky" has his favorite playground in the high moor Salomonstempel, and "Bobo" from Brunnadern lives in the rustic Choltobel. The fifth is the noble "Tibby", who resides on the Neutoggenburg ruins near Oberhelfenschwil. Visiting the forest animals and finding their playgrounds from the Necki book is worthwhile.
On the Neckiweg through the Neckertal, big and small hikers find relaxation and fun. The Neckiplaces invite you to rest or play. Shoot competitions with pine cones, damming water or building bridges, making flower wreaths, collecting fragrant herbs – or watch out for the Neckis.
The picture book is available for CHF 28.00 at Toggenburg Tourism or Maja Meyer-Böhm at www.mmb.ch.
From the village of Bächli, the descent leads to Schwanzbrugg. The path follows the Necker River up to Mistelegg. Now follows the ascent over Fuchslöchern to Rigelschwendi to Scherb, where a wonderful landscape awaits. Passing the first large fireplace, the path continues on the gravel road through the forest until the Neckiplatz and the Salomonstempel fireplace are reached.
With a beautiful view of the Säntis, the path then descends again to the bath and back to the village of Hemberg.
