From December 6 to 8, 2025, the PuchBergAdvent takes place in Puchberg am Schneeberg - information at www.puchberg.at/veranstaltungen. The start or end of the circular hiking trail is at the Hengsthütte. You can reach the Hengsthütte with the Schneebergbahn, which operates daily during this time. The exact departure times can be found at www.schneebergbahn.at.

The circular hike starts between the Hengsthütte and the Schneebergbahn stop along the old "Hengstweg", following the red and then the blue markings towards the Ternitzerhütte. Upon reaching the Ternitzerhütte, the hiking trail leads right opposite through a small forest to the Kaltwassersattel, then left again to the Baumgartner stop. The walking time is approximately/minimum 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on snow conditions. We also recommend snowshoes, which you can rent at the valley station of the Schneebergbahn if snow conditions require it. The Advent circular hiking trail is not a cleared winter hiking trail.

At the Baumgartner stop, you walk back in the same direction as you came. At the Kaltwassersattel, the path leads straight ahead and along the green marking "Upper" Hengstweg back to the Hengsthütte. The walking time is - again depending on snow conditions - about 1 hour.

Please take into account the details about altitude meters, distance, and walking time when planning your hike to ensure the tour remains a pleasant experience for the whole family.
