From the parking lot on the road to Els, this hike leads first to an old revitalized castle, which you can see from below. Immediately after, one climbs over the river and into the Gudenushöhle. This is followed by a steep climb to the plateau --- past the Stone Hall, to the Devil's Rest. Then over ladders --- attention, surefootedness and a head for heights required --- to the Devil's Chapel. Now again steeply down into the Kremstal; and this starting over bridges to the plateau. Here you can plan an extension to Weinzierl, which makes the projection of the hike on a map to an equilateral triangle, or descend again to the "Zwickl" as described here. From there back to the Gudenushöhle including the castle view, aund to the car.
Because of nature beauty this is a wistful hike if you tend to show signs melancholy!

There is also a parking place if you drive across the ruin, coming from the main road.
If you have a fear of heights do not go the "shortcut" via the Steinerner Saal and the Teufelskapelle. There, surefootedness is required.
