Na Dunajsko-veltlínské vinaÅské cyklostezce můžete prozkoumat idylickou krajinu za Vídní s výhledy na malebné sklepní uliÄky, Äetné vinice a chutné vinné hospůdky. Okružní trasa vede z Langenzersdorfu pÅes Bisamberg, Korneuburg, Leobendorf, Harmannsdorf, Manhartsbrunn, Enzersfeld im Weinviertel, Hagenbrunn a Stammersdorf zpÄt do Langenzersdorfu.
The cycle route starts at the station in Langenzersdorf. The route takes you to the town center and then to the foot of the Bisamberg and into the wine village of the same name. Enjoyable, the route continues along the vineyards via Klein-Engersdorf and Flandorf to the district capital, Korneuburg. Once you reach the historic town center, it is a good place to take a break. There is something for every taste here: from sweet to hearty delights. In the distance, as you leave Korneuburg, the Kreuzenstein Castle shines, your next destination. It lies on a wooded hill 266 meters above sea level and offers a great panoramic view over the Korneuburg Basin all the way to Vienna. Downhill into the wine town Leobendorf with its Heurigen culture, the route leads via Tresdorf, Harmannsdorf, and Kleinrötz on to Manhartsbrunn and from there to Enzersfeld in the Weinviertel, where Heurigen culture can be enjoyed in the cellar lanes. Via Königsbrunn, you reach the next winegrowing community, Hagenbrunn, which boasts a great variety of Heurigen establishments. From here, the route runs at the foot of the Bisamberg towards Vienna.
Tip: A small detour on this section of the route will take you to the artistically designed flood reservoir with drinking fountain. From here, it continues to Vienna, specifically to Stammersdorf. The numerous vineyards and fields shape the surroundings and give the place in the federal capital a rural character. A small detour into the Stammersdorf cellar lane invites you to linger and enjoy. Afterwards, you cycle back at the foot of the Bisamberg to Langenzersdorf.
Please bring enough drinks, as inns and restaurants are not open daily and many Heurigen establishments only open in the afternoon.
Langenzersdorf is accessible by car via the motorway.
You can conveniently travel from Vienna to Langenzersdorf by train.

GRAPE VARIETY Donauveltliner: The Donauveltliner grape variety is a new breed and a fungus-resistant vine and white wine variety that is especially resistant to the fungal diseases true and false powdery mildew. The variety is a hybrid of Grüner Veltliner and Seyval Blanc, and the wine is fruity in its youth. As a mature wine, it is very similar to Grüner Veltliner.
By the way: The Weinviertel Danube region also offers many other cycling routes, such as the Weinviertel Danube cycle route.
