Gipuzkoa section (Andoain - Navarre border): 24.6 Km.

Navarre Section

Gipuzkoa - Lekunberri limit: 19.7 km. Limit with Gipuzkoa - Leitza Station: 5 km. It runs along the Leitzaran River and crosses 2 tunnels. Leitza Station - Uitzi Tunnel: 7 km. Fun route that passes through 11 tunnels, the longest of which is the Leitza tunnel, about 600 m long and perfectly conditioned. Uitzi Tunnel: 2.7 km. For a long time it was the longest tunnel in Europe. It is illuminated. Uitzi Tunnel - Lekunberri Station: 5 km. This section has 3 small tunnels. Currently the second of them, the Bartolo tunnel about 2.5 km from the station is closed due to a landslide. Work is underway to design an alternative section.

The Plazaola station in Lekunberri houses the tourist office and next to it is the kantina that offers bar-restaurant and bicycle rental services and public restrooms.

Lekunberri - Sarasa: 22.2 km.

This section also starts from Lekunberri station and ends in Sarasa, near Pamplona-Iruña. From Lekunberri to the Mugiro dam: 2 km. From the Mugiro dam to the San Migueltxo picnic area: 2 km. From San Migueltxo to the picnic area of Kaxarna: 6.5 km. It passes through the town of Latasa and its beautiful station recently restored as a bar-restaurant and bicycle rental. From this town, the Plazaola Greenway shares the route with the Eurovelo 1- Ederbidea cycling route that connects the Plazaola and Bidasoa Greenways and these with the town of Bayonne (France). From Kaxarna to Irurtzun: 2.7 km.

The route ends in the section Irurtzun - Sarasa: 9 km. This last part begins in the rest area of Irurtzun, located on the land where the old railroad station was located.

Of particular note in this section is the Gulina viaduct made up of 17 stone arches and the steep but short climb of just over 300 meters just before Erice de Iza.

This greenway is dotted with beautiful landscapes that make the route even more pleasant, ideal for walking or cycling and has restaurant services, accommodation and bicycle rental.

The Plazaola Greenway is part of the EuroVelo 1- Ederbidea route, which in Navarre has meant the union of the Bidasoa and Plazaola Greenways with the signposting of approximately 90 new kilometers, 46 km of which have been added.The route is approximately 90 km long, 46 km of which are bicycle paths (only for bicycles) or Greenways for pedestrians, cyclists and people with reduced mobility and 44 km of which are shared paths with vehicles.
