At the edge of the Chilchberger forest

A short circular route that mostly follows the edge of the forest and does not skimp on beautiful views.
The Naturfreunde-Hütte Fröschengülle is an ideal starting point for this tour. Those arriving by public transport take bus No. 5 to Brittnau Ausserdorf and thus already have a good, uphill kilometer behind them when they arrive at the hut. The hut is staffed every Sunday and provides a welcome refreshment and catering (before or after the route).
After a few steps on the paved road towards Strengelbach, a wide natural road lined with many felled trees leads to a five-way intersection. The road must be crossed and the path taken to the left with a short ascent. At the fire pit, which is small but not so fine, turn right. Now the path runs around the Chilchberg. Those who find this route a bit too short can use the footpath to the left after about 150m to add a circular tour through the Dörfliwald. This route is particularly pleasant in summer as it runs almost exclusively in the forest. Back on the Chilchberg route, the most beautiful part of the trail follows. A great view towards Zofingen/Wikon enriches the circular path before it leads back to the starting point Fröschengülle on the felled road section.
