Kastelruth is the largest holiday resort in the Dolomite region of Seiser Alm and delights visitors with its painted houses in the historic centre, which is one of the “Borghi più belli d'Italia”, (the most beautiful places in Italy) and which attracts visitors to Kastelruth for shopping and strolling around. Also worth seeing are the classicistic parish church and the baroque church tower, which invites you for a visit. From above, the Mount Calvary catches the eye: the porphyry hill in the middle of the village is a local recreation area, a crossroad, and also a fun playground for children.
