Past the practice lift and through the Bach district, the way leads towards Kirchheimerhof. From there, follow the signposted forest track until you reach the Unterwirthütte after about an hour. The walk is leisurely through the winter forest, among snow-covered trees and then again clear views into the Kirchheim valley. This route is very suitable for families as you can simply shorten the trail at will and toboggan back.
CAUTION: the slope is crossed twice!!
Only walk outside of lift operating times or use the tractor taxi to go up for tobogganing afterwards.
A special highlight in winter is the Ripperl evening on Thursdays.
The tractor taxi picks you up at 6:00 / 6:30 pm at Hotel Kärntnerhof and brings you to the Unterwirt Hüttn. Once there, a hearty spare ribs feast awaits you. Afterwards, between 8:00 and 8:45 pm, you go downhill by tractor or sled.

General information: We do not accept liability for any accidents or the condition of the toboggan run. Helmets are mandatory! Helmets serve your safety. The toboggan run is not lit, but most of our sleds have lighting.
From the Maibrunn parking lot, you walk through the spa park, past the tourist office, the Weißensteiner bakery. After Intersport Gruber, turn right into Maibrunnenweg. Follow this to Hotel Kirchheimerhof. Then the asphalt road leads into a typical forest track, which you follow according to the signs to the Unterwirthütte.

The route partly runs on public roads and paths. Watch out for vehicle traffic and observe the road traffic regulations.
