Ferlacher Spitze

In rare cases and depending on the snow conditions or the month, it is possible to drive up to the parking lot on the forest road to the Berta Hut. Therefore, the described route starts slightly below the parking lot. You follow the forest road to the barrier and optionally take either the forest road or the steeper forest path (path no. 680) to reach the saddle at the height of the Berta Hut. Just behind the Berta Hut, turn off onto path no. 679 towards the Ferlacher Spitze. The descent follows the ascent track and from the Berta Hut along the forest road.

Coming from Villach or the Rosental Valley, drive by car on the B85 (Rosental Road) to Unteraichwald and turn off at the Mittagskogel Hotel into Kopeiner Street. At the Kopein intersection, leave the asphalt road and turn right towards the Berta Hut.
