The tranquility of this Lahnwanderweg section promises a relaxed hike. To enjoy nature with all senses – that's possible here. With the Ernst-Dienstbach footbridge, the Hauseley rock, which is bypassed on planks over the Lahn, and the once mining village Falkenbach, there are real highlights. And of course, you climb back up to the Lahn heights. The best view is enjoyed from the Feldbergblick viewpoint. The Große Feldberg mountain can be seen clearly here in good weather.

The stage starts at the "monument" in Weilburg. It was erected in honor of those who fell in the war of 1870/71. Following the Lahnwanderweg signpost there, you walk down stairs and cross the Lahn on the Ernst-Dienstbach footbridge. After the bridge, keep left and on an enchanted path you go right along the riverbank. On planks over the water, you bypass the impressive Hauseley rock – breathtaking! After that, you climb up to the Lahn heights. From the pavilion, you can take another impressive look at the former residential town Weilburg.
The shelter "Am Steinbühl" offers itself for a first rest after the climb. Through the forest and past the little ash tree you then reach the Feldbergblick viewpoint. Shortly afterwards, you have to cross the K 490 road (please be careful!). Along the forest edge, it goes downhill, then right through the fields, and you arrive at a small pond with benches for resting.
In the forest near Gräveneck, a short detour to the Wittekindstollen is worthwhile. Mining history is omnipresent here. After another section of forest, you cross the state road L3452 and the idyllic Wirbelauer stream. Through the forest, over meadows, and through orchards, the small hamlet Falkenbach finally comes into view. You leave this on the left and walk downhill towards the lock.
Where the little road curves to the right, the Lahnwanderweg leads uphill and then again through a long, quiet section through the forest. In the Lahn meadow, there is another opportunity to look around and linger. The stage destination Aumenau is finally reached, directly along the Lahn.
Normal hiking equipment required. Bring a backpack snack and drinks.
