Habkern

The small, pretty mountain village of Habkern lies between the Harder and the Sieben Hengste, at the foot of the Augstmatthorn. The secluded location has meant that many customs and traditions have remained part of the everyday lives of the village’s 700 inhabitants. With its many hills and summits the valley boasts an amazingly rich flora and fauna. The magnificent moorlands that surround the Lombachalp are a particularly stunning natural feature.
