The route either starts from the valley road in Under Camana or from Ober Camana. It goes steadily uphill over the wide slopes southwest of the Camaner Hut. At about 2300 meters above sea level, turn slowly to the left (NW) and track the slopes and hollows along the ridge. A small-scale hilly landscape unexpectedly appears here, offering a very special landscape experience. The last 100 meters of elevation gain become a bit steeper and must be earned hard. However, the impressive deep view over the almost vertical northern slopes and the wide panorama at the summit easily compensate for the many beads of sweat. A good 1100 meters of ascent is certainly no joke.
The descent can be done via the ascent route. On the Camaner Ridge, this is not fixed though. The wide slopes allow various variants in safe conditions. Although it is officially not closed, we recommend not skiing the Camaner forest. The peace-seeking wildlife will thank you.

From Versam village via the valley road to Safien Platz and further to Ober Camana. There are no parking options along the valley road. Visitors arriving by car must start the route from Ober Camana.
By post bus from Versam/Safien to the Safien, Untercamana stop
There are a few improvised parking options in Ober Camana. Please park considerately. There are no parking options along the valley road.

Those traveling by car can enjoy something on the sun terrace after the route at Hotel Camana. The restaurant is located in the old schoolhouse in Camanaboda.
