Along the route, numerous refreshment stations cater to the participants’ physical well-being. Here you can sample the excellent wines from local vintners. Grape juice, mineral water, and still water are also available. In the cozy courtyards, elegant tasting rooms, or on the beautiful viewing terraces of the wineries, culinary delights and regional specialties also await to refuel you. Most refreshment stations are located at the respective wineries within the town or on the outskirts of Deutschkreutz and Girm. Some refreshment stations are situated in the middle of the vineyards with fantastic views, which are best enjoyed during a short break with a good glass of wine. Along the route outside the town limits, you’ll also find standard refreshment stations with still water and sports drinks to ensure you stay properly hydrated.

Hot and cold dishes—typical Burgenland specialties—make up the culinary offerings. Additional refreshment stations with water and sports drinks ensure adequate hydration. Wine tastings, grape juice, water, and the culinary offerings at the refreshment stations are included in the price of the race entry.
Sportswear and appropriate footwear; costumes are encouraged. The most original, funniest, or most creative costumes will be selected by a jury and rewarded with attractive prizes.

There are hourly direct trains to the Deutschkreutz station from Vienna and Wiener Neustadt.

Getting there by public transportation: There are hourly direct trains from Vienna and Wiener Neustadt to the Deutschkreutz train station. From there, it’s about a 1.2-kilometer walk (14 minutes) to the start/finish area in front of the Europaschule Deutschkreutz.
