Boot trip "Gäu meets Black Forest": Wildberg - Nagold

The first stage starts for us in the shepherd town Wildberg in the Nagold valley. At the beginning, the route leads us up a steep hill. Once at the top, we reach the historic site of the shepherds' traditional herding competition, which takes place every two years on the occasion of the Shepherds' Run. We continue over the scenic heights. We mostly hike on the long-distance trail Gäurandweg (marked with a red rose hip on a green background). Past water towers and the former Eisberg barracks, we walk in the transition between the natural regions Black Forest and Heckengäu. Our stage destination lies again in the valley. The lively and urban town of Nagold already awaits us with great shopping opportunities. Cafés, restaurants, a flower-filled pedestrian zone, and great specialty shops invite you to browse and stroll. The idyllic Stadtpark Kleb, which lies directly below Hohennagold Castle and the babbling Nagold river, is the green oasis of the town. Here you can end a day of hiking!
