Brandenkopf route

The route starts in Fischerbach at the parking lot near the Tourist Info. It goes left onto the main road heading west. After approx. 200m, at the MTB junction Fi1, sharply right towards Nill on the street “Eschbach” and 150m further, at the fork, half-left towards Eschgrund. Shortly after the forest recreation area "Eschgrund" (km 1.3), at the fork turn half-left into Langmattenweg. At Berghofhütte (km 2.2), in a right curve, continue uphill. At Wagenstatthütte, the MTB junction Fi3 at km 3.5 turn right into Wagenstattweg towards Fischerbacher Eck. At the point "Über Eschgrund" at km 4.3, half-right into the unpaved path towards Rechgrabenkapelle. At km 4.9 at the point "Hohwald" sharply left steeply uphill towards Rechgrabenkapelle, which is reached at km 5.9. Here turn left onto the paved road towards Epplinsberg. Shortly after house no. 8 (km 6.7), at the large open area at the fork, turn half-left back onto gravel towards the point "Epplinsberg" (km 6.9). Here go straight towards "Am Schorn" again into the forest. At the point "Am Schorn" at km 7.6 then right towards Vogelsberg, which is reached after another 200m. Here at the MTB junction Fi4 turn half-right towards Nill. At Fischerbacher Höhe (MTB junction FI5) right towards Nill past the points "Überm Eckerhof" and "Niller Eck" (MTB junction ZE15) continuing towards Nill. At km 10.1 the Nill farms are reached. There cross the parking lot to the paved road and follow it slightly uphill towards Schwarzenbachsattel. At the fork at km 10.7 turn half-right onto Nill-Sattel-Weg to Schwarzenbach-Sattel at km 12.2. Here at the MTB junction ZE10 go straight towards Brandenkopf. Constant ascent to the viewing tower at Brandenkopf (km 13.8). 300m descent back to the MTB junction Fi6 ("Farnlehenkopf"). Then turn left towards Hirzwasen. At km 15.6 at the point "Am Steigleskopf" (MTB junction Hau6) turn half-left continuing towards Hirzwasen. At the point "Bettelfrau" at km 16.1 turn right onto Hirzwasenweg until the point "Hirzwasen" at km 17.4. Here at the MTB junction Hau5 continue straight on an unpaved path towards Ebenacker. At km 18.4 at the point "Schmiedershöhe" turn half-left steeply downhill and after 300m turn right onto the gravel path. After another km, sharply right now uphill again to the point "Ebenacker" (km 20.1). There (MTB junction Hau8) turn half-left towards Hohenlochen. At the point "Bergbauernhöhe" (km 21.3) turn right towards Käppelehof. After another 300m at the point "Erlets" cross the open area and shortly afterwards steadily downhill past Osterbachsattel (km 23.2) to Käppelehof (guesthouse). Shortly after Käppelehof (km 23.6) turn half-right on asphalt to the three-way junction at house no. 6. Then turn left onto Wintermaxenweg (gravel), which goes briefly uphill at the forest edge and shortly afterwards steadily downhill in the forest. At km 26.7 at the point "Überm Wintermaxenhof" continue straight downhill out of the forest. At Wintermaxenhof (km 27.2) the outskirts of Hausach are reached. Continue downhill on the street “Am Hinterhof”. After another 400m at the T-junction in Hausach turn left into Frohnaustraße, shortly afterwards right to the Kinzig bridge, which is crossed. At km 27.8 at the point "Footbridge Kinzig" (MTB junction Hau2) turn right on the Kinzig levee and 400m further at MTB junction Hau3 continue straight on the Kinzig cycle path. At the T-junction turn right and shortly afterwards underpass the bridge in a left curve. Follow the cycle trail over the Kinzig and then immediately turn left into and through the district Eschau. At km 33 at MTB junction Fi2 turn right towards Fischerbach and at the main road turn right back to the starting point of the route
