The parish church, dedicated to St. Sebastian, was built in 1702/1703 and has been a place of contemplation and silence ever since. St. Sebastian was a Roman officer and martyr.

The entire building was renovated in 1962, 1987 and 2014.

The Maria Lourdes Chapel above the church and a baroque wayside shrine at the entrance are further attractions.

The parish of Bad Blumau with approx. 1400 Catholics consists of 7 villages, each of which also has a religious centre. These are used as places for church services, May devotions, processions, meat consecrations, etc.
