Circuit VTT n°119 rouge : Le braquet bédouin

When arriving in Longessaigne, you have surely noticed the village bell tower, very unusual in the region. It houses 4 clock faces, and its bells are manually rung during ceremonies.

You cannot miss passing by a curiosity that was uncovered by the "Bedouin Snoopers": it is a railway tunnel that was never used, as the construction of the L’Arbresle-Panissières line was interrupted by the First World War.

You can also take the remembrance path at the place called Les Auberges, where a stele was erected in honor of the Resistance fighters, also known as Maquisards.
