Millions of small glitter crystals sparkle on the snow carpet under the cross-country skis. The head is completely free due to the steady movement in nature. All you can hear is your own breath and the sound of your skis gliding step by step over the snow.
In winter, cross-country skiing enthusiasts get their money's worth in the market town of Kirchbach. An approx. 10 km long panorama trail leads along the Gail river and offers a fantastic backdrop in the winter landscape.
This trail has even been awarded the seal of approval.
DIRECTIONS:
From the entry point at the Gundersheimer Gailbrücke it goes about 10 km without significant gradients, along the Gail river to the Waidegger Gailbrücke. In Gundersheim there is a connection to Kötschach-Mauthen via the panorama trail and in Waidegg there is a connection to the Tröpolach cross-country skiing centre.
