Lyžařský areál Bessans

Bessans is dedicated to the lovers of beauty of purity and of the true nordic spirit! Bessans Val d'Arc is a village where ancestral traditions of French Alps are preserved: making of French cheeses, local crafts, traditional houses, story and legends evenings. In winter, good snowcover is guaranteed from December to April.

The town is a renowned cross-country skiing centre with 133 km of tracks. For alpine skiing there are 3 slopes (3km) with 2 lifts. The slopes are easy and sun facing, so it is an ideal environment for beginners and kids. In winter there are 15km walking paths and many more for snowshoes. There is a luge track, a biathlon stadium, a natural skating ring.

In spring Bessans is a paradise for ski touring. Moreover, you can find mountain refuges which are open from mid-March. Famous is the Avérole valley with its mountain cabin.
