The Grogg Martell biathlon and cross-country skiing center in the middle of the Stilfserjoch National Park and the forest hiking trail in St. Maria in der Schmelz near the Hotel Restaurant Waldheim offer cross-country skiing fun for beginners to professionals.

The cross-country skiing paradise of Martello has a total of 12 km of trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Due to its altitude, it is one of the areas with the best snow conditions in the entire Alpine region, with snow from the end of November to the end of March. Thanks to the snow depot, the trails can be opened at the beginning of November and offer the best training conditions.
