Who hasn't dreamed of becoming a train driver or pilot for a day? And what if the machines - made entirely of wood - were exactly the ones that captivate your children's eyes, even from the pushchair, because they can move through the sky just as they do on the snow? The Ciampac basin, at an altitude of 2,100 metres, from where you can admire the Sella Group up to the Marmolada, is a paradise for every mountain lover, but it will also have the little ones spellbound! Because here every walk turns into an adventure, set on easy terrain where in summer you can also come across marmots. Head to the Ciampark playground house, pick up the ticket and book for little motor experts and start walking in the green meadows of the basin. You will find reproductions of all the vehicles that are used in the mountains both in summer and winter, from helicopters to snowcats. And if they find the magic word, your children can get a licence to be real drivers!
From Alba di Canazei, take the gondola lift up to Ciampac. From the gondola exit, head right and you'll immediately arrive at the starting point of the itinerary that winds along a dirt road through the Ciampac meadows. If you want to extend the tour, the Roseal-Giumela chairlift allows you to comfortably reach Sela Brunéch, a panoramic viewpoint at 2,428 metres with exceptional views of the Fassa Dolomites. To recharge your energy after the walk, four refuges are waiting for you, offering a delicious Ladin lunch or a well-deserved snack.
